Neil Wilson has worked in the broadcast industry ever since graduating with a B.Sc Joint Honours degree in Physics and Electronics from the University of Durham in 1978.

 A very experienced broadcast engineer, he initially trained at the BBC and worked as a studio engineer at BBC Television Centre, and subsequently at leading UK Facilities companies Trilion, TVI, Moving Picture Company, 021 Television , Carlton TV and CTV , becoming Director of Engineering for Carlton Television PLC between 1983 and 1998. 

Neil was responsible for the system design on the BSkyB Studio 6 and Studio 7 HD projects , the UK’s first operational HD Studios, and subsequently the HD studios for NOS Hilversum .

Since then he has been responsible for the design and installation of the transmission, studio & post-production centre of Disney Television’s London operations  and the conversion of the London 2012 Olympics International Broadcast Centre into 3 studios, control rooms , post production and master control facilities for BT Sport.

He has designed and supervised the installation of numerous HD OB trucks , satellite uplinks and other vehicles for both the UK and the world market and most recently the latest IP based fleet for Euro Media Group in the UK.

He also has extensive operational OB experience working as a technical supervisor across a broad spectrum of live sport events , current affairs and light entertainment productions.
